AI doesn’t have to be evil to destroy humanity – if AI has a goal and humanity just happens to come in the way, it will destroy humanity as a matter of course without even thinking about it, no hard feelings.
The development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race….It would take off on its own, and re-design itself at an ever-increasing rate. Humans, who are limited by slow biological evolution, couldn’t compete, and would be superseded.
As more and more artificial intelligence is entering into the world, more and more emotional intelligence must enter into leadership.

Instructions:
- Show Alter Ego video then ask for summarization
- Questions about the ethical ramification of the technology
- How could this technology be helpful?
- (if needed, ask them to identify examples from video)
- How could this technology do harm?
- How could this technology be helpful?
- Tell them that they will interact with a cutting-edge technology then they will have to make their own presentation.
- Divide the students into groups
- Give them the worksheets to play around with
- Ask them to work together to fill prompts that they will then have to alter to fill into their slides
- The groups present their PowerPoint
- Ask them to ask their peers questions like
- “And then what would happen?”
- “What might be a ripple effect of that outcome?”
